Finn Harps and Drogheda united will have to replay in their FAI Cup quarter-final after the sides drew 1-1 in Ballybofey on Friday night.
A late goal from Michael Daly saw Drogheda United come from behind to draw with 10-man Finn Harps at Finn Park after Kevin McHugh had given the home side an early lead.
Depspite early United pressure, the Airtricity First Division side who took the lead when Kevin McHugh scored his 170th goal for Harps with a strike from just inside the area.
The visitors showed signs of improvement after the break, and were given a lifeline just before the hour mark when Ciaran Coll was dismissed for an off-the-ball incident.
With a numbers advantage, Declan O’Brien and Jason Marks both spurn good chances before the Airtricity Premier Division side finally got the equaliser in the 85th minute when Michael Daly converted a David Cassidy’s cross.
Drogheda United will now host Finn Harps at Hunky Dorys Park on Monday – the the winner will progress to the FAI Cup semi-final.
