In odds that defy belief, a newly married couple have been re-united with a wedding ring they lost on Narin Beach three months ago thanks to a metal detecting local.
The couple, who got married last year, lost a ring while visiting the beach in June and had presumed it lost.
But in a bizarre set of circumstances, local man Peter Kane found a ring on the beach earlier this week – he contacted Highland Radio with the news and the station was soon contacted by the couple – but as it turned out it wasn’t their ring!
Peter then to took the beach again and managed to find the couple’s actual ring later in the week – he says the ring has now been returned to the couple who are delighted:
