Letterkenny Town Council says it is monitoring the performance of new traffic lights outside LYIT, and will recalibrate them when more information is available.
Officials were responding to concerns raised by Cllr Gerry Mc Monagle at a meeting of the council last night.
They also revealed that the impact study which approved the lights has been there since a retail development was approved for the site opposite the college in 2007, a development which never went ahead.
Cllr Gerry Mc Monagle says at present, the lights are creating problems……….
