Concern at delay in processing “Three Rivers” planning application in Strabane

Strabane District Council is to press the Environment Minister to make a decision on the planning application for the Three Rivers Project in the town.
A decision on the Three Rivers Project, which if given the green light, could see the creation of 450 jobs, is still pending despite the application being lodged almost two years ago.
The Three Rivers plan includes an employment and learning park, a 90-bed hotel, a food store and garden world, a health and entertainment complex and associated road and environmental works on the 50-acre site.
Strabane Cllr Karina Carlin, says the latest response from the Environment Minister, doesn’t give any indication of what stage the planning application for the project is at:
