Official review of adding flouride to drinking water

There is to be an official review of the use of fluoride in our water.
The Department of Health says it wants to look at whether it is safe to keep adding the chemical to the supply.
It has been used since the 1960s as a way to combat tooth decay.
Aisling Fitzgibbon from The Girl Against Fluoride campaign says the chemical carries many risks.
“Risks to thyroid health and to arthritis-like symptoms, skeletal problems, dental sclerosis and recently there’s been epidemiological studies shoeing there’s been a lowering of IQ in certain fluoride areas which have elevated levels of fluoride” she said.
