The 53 year old man killed in a collision in Ballybofey last night has been named locally as John O’Donnell, of Curraghmone. A post mortem examination has been taking place today at Letterkenny General Hospital, and the road remains closed for a technical examination.
Gardai are appealing to any witnesses to come forward.
Meanwhile, gardai say a collision at Brenagh near Glenswilly this morning was not as serious as was first thought, and contrary to initial reports, there was no school bus involved.
