Letterkenny Councillor says new Driver Licencing system a disaster

The new system for issuing driving licences in Donegal hIrish Driving Licenceas been described as a disaster.
Letterkenny Town Council heard claims last night that people are experience huge delays in having their application processed in the local office before facing a long wait for their new license to arrive by post.
In October last year, two National Driver Licence Service (NDLS) offices run by The Road Safety Authority opened in Killybegs and Letterkenny taking over the responsibility from Donegal County Council.
The issue was raised by Councillor Tom Crossan who says that under the old system a new licence was issued within two days, he wants the Transport Minister to explain why the process appears to be going backwards:
