The Ulster Senior League suffered a major blow last night as Kildrum Tigers withdrew from the league with immediate effect.
The three time winners will instead apply for membership of the Donegal League next season.
The decision follows a committee meeting last night with the Tigers now set to become the latest club to move from Intermediate football back to junior level.
Kildrum’s departure leaves just eight clubs left in the league ahead of the new campaign which starts in just three weeks time.
