A local election candidate is questioning why his calls for positions of polling clerks to be advertised publicly appear to be falling on deaf ears
Peter Cutliffe, former senior Labour Party member in Donegal, has suggested it seems the positions are ‘jobs for the boys’ and the establishment has no interest in changing that.
While Donegal County Council has given support for a review of the recruitment system, no firm proposals have been made.
