The husband and son of a Bundoran town councillor have been banned from meetings of the council until a court deals with public order offences against them.
It follows an alleged disturbance outside the council offices earlier this month.
55 year old Thomas McNulty and his 32 year old son Joe each gave an undertaking to Judge Kevin Kilrane and Garda Inspector Dennis Joyce at Ballyshannon District Court today not to attend council meetings until their cases are concluded.
The pair, who are husband and son of Independent councillor Florence Doherty, were arrested after a disturbance outside a meeting of the council on February 10 and each charged with a public order offence.
Thomas McNulty said he never goes to meetings of the council and would have no difficulty obeying the court instruction.
Their cases were adjourned to May 2, pending service of statements by the gardai to the defendants.
