Yellow weather warning issued for Donegal with strong winds to be expected

Met Eireann has issued a weather warning for Donegal.Weather Alert
The weather service says strong winds will gust this afternoon and evening.
The status yellow warning also applies to Munster, Leinster, Connacht and counties Monaghan and Cavan.
Met Eireann forecasts that rain and strong to gale force Southerly winds will spread across the northwest during this afternoon and early evening with some severe gale gusts later.
The rain will turn to showers tonight with clear periods.
The showers will be heavy and prolonged with the risk of thunder. It will stay windy and winds will strengthen further in the West with gales and gusts to storm force in exposed parts. Lowest temperatures 3 to 6 degrees.
Very windy tomorrow with strong to gale force Westerly winds  and squally showers. Winds moderating later.
