Donegal hauliers at Stormont Assembly over new UK road tax

Donegal hauliers are to take their campaign against a new UK road tax to Stormont today.
The tax is set to be introduced on April 1st which will see hauliers crossing from the south into Northern Ireland having to pay a daily tax of £10.
The haulage industry feel the introduction of the charge will have major repercussions for Irish hauliers operating in the six counties and transiting through them.
West Tyrone MLA, Barry McElduff is hosting today’s meeting, he says all roads in the North should be exempt from this tax:
