County Manager says ‘Irish Water’ is working well in Donegal

County Manager Seamus Neeley says while there have been a number of issues to iron out, the takeover of water services by Irish Water is working well.
Since January 1st, the new company, which is wholly owned by Bord Gais, has been in charge of water services, and a nationwide metering campaign is continuing ahead of the introduction of charges later this year.
There had been criticism of the government before the start of the year for what was perceived as the rushed nature of the takeover, with very little information about how it would take place.
