Donegal returned to the top of Division Two of the National Football League with a 2-11 to 0-10 win over Ulster Champions Monaghan in Letterkenny on Sunday.
Goals from Odhran MacNiallis and Colm Mc Fadden had Donegal in a commanding lead at half time and on track for their third win in a row.
Man of the match MacNiallis ended the game top scorer for Donegal with 1-3 while there was also another good performance from Ryan Mc Hugh.
Colm Mc Fadden hit 1-2 and Patrick Mc Brearty came off the bench to score 0-2.
The league victory was Donegal’s first over the Monaghan men since 2004.
