The manager of Letterkenny General Hospital has insisted there will be no reduction in the service provision for children with diabetes suggesting services will in fact improve.
Up to 100 members and supporters of the Donegal Diabetes Parent Support Group held a picket at the hospital today to coincide with the Health Minister’s visit.
The group is angry at the lack of progress in service provision for children with diabetes in Donegal and say a paediatric diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialist is essential in Letterkenny.
But responding Hospital Manager Shaun Murphy said things are actually improving:
