Donegal County Council is being asked to look at restoring the River Finn to its former position as one of the best salmon rivers in the country.
Local Cllr Patrick Mc Gowan says a combination of restrictive regulations and neglect have seen the fortunes of the Finn decline over the past number of years, particularly in relation to its sister river, the Mourne.
He believes a cross border approach is necessary, and says Donegal County Council should take the lead………….
