Third Defeat of the Season for Derry

Derry City Logo newDerry City suffered a 1-0 defeat to Shamrock Rovers at the Brandywell on Friday night, their third defeat in twelve League games.
However, they have only won two of those league matches and have drawn the other seven.
The sole goal of the game came from Rovers’ Gary McCabe in the 34th minute.
This defeat puts Derry City in 7th place on the Premier Division table, 12 points behind leaders St. Patrick’s Athletic.
After the game, Martin Holmes spoke to Derry City Manager, Roddy Collins, Rovers boss, Trevor Crawley and Derry captain, Cliff Byrne.
