Derry City have appointed Peter Hutton as their manager for the rest of the season.
The Candystripes have confirmed that their record caps holder has accepted the position of first team manager up until the end of the campaign.
Hutton was assistant manager under Roddy Collins and initially agreed to step-up to the role of caretaker manager following Sunday’s departure of Collins after less than six months in charge.
The former Derry player has been in a caretakers role on two previous occasions but this will be the first time that he is in the job on a full capacity.
Marty McCann who was first-team coach during Collins’s reign, stays on as Hutton’s assistant.
