There are calls for camping and caravaning near Port Arthur beach to be regulated following claims of human waste and other waste not being properly disposed of.
The call comes from Independent Councillor Micheál Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig who was speaking after more than 25 caravans were illegally parked in the vicinity in recent days.
He says locals have been disgusted to see that the beach has been used as a toilet and that cattle are being disturbed by the activities of some campers.
