America have a one point advantage after the opening session of the 2015 Ryder Cup.
Tom Watson’s team won the morning fourballs session by 2 and a half points to 1 and a half after Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia were beaten on the final hole in their match against Keegan Bradley and Phil Mickelson.
Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson were the only European pair to win.
