It’s been confirmed that at least four nominees have been sent to the county board for the vacant post of Donegal Senior Manager.
It’s believed there are more, but they want to be kept confidential.
The bookies favourite Rory Gallagher has been nominated by his club Kilcar.
The Fermanagh man was assistant to Jim McGuinness for three years were he won an All Ireland and two Ulster titles.
It’s been suggested that Gallagher would also be the choice of the players.
Ardara have nominated Anthony Harkin for the job.
Harkin was trainer when Donegal won their first Sam Maguire in 1992 and is presently a youth coaching officer.
Paddy Carr and Cathal Corey’s names were thrown into the ring earlier in the week after nominations were forwarded from Fanad Gaels and Noamh Conaill.
Interviews will take place next week.
