Rory Gallagher has this evening been confirmed as the new Donegal Senior Football Team Manager.
He was ratified at the Donegal GAA November County Committee which was held tonight having previously been scheduled for Monday.
A native of Belleek, Co Fermanagh, Gallagher lives in Killybegs and was Jim McGuinness’s No 2 from 2011 until last year – he is the current co-manager of Kilcar.
He has been given a three year term with a option of a fourth year.

Confirming the news Donegal GAA said it looked forward to working with Rory and his backroom team and aim to keep Donegal competing at the top level.

Maxi Curran has been ratified as the u-21 manager.
Last season he led Donegal to an Ulster Final eventually losing to Cavan.
He has been given a one year term.
The Na Rossa man was the first manager to lead a Donegal Minor team to an All-Ireland Final losing to Kerry.
Bonner has been given the job for one year.
