Can’t Pay Won’t Pay will stage a protest against water charges outside the Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny, where Minister of State, Joe Mc Hugh will attend the Cleaner Community awards.
Spokesperson Francis Mc Cafferty says in the wake of last month’s protests, the government is now considering what he termed a €100 bribe to get people to register, along with cuts in the levels of the charges.
However, he says everyone knows that whatever sweeteners are offered now, they will be withdrawn in the future and the charges will rise.
