Mary Berry has signed up for a new BBC cooking show, which will see her tour the UK.
Absolute Favourites, a six-part series for BBC Two, will focus on places and memories that have inspired the Great British Bake Off star’s top dishes.
A BBC spokesman confirmed the new series to the Daily Mirror, saying: “We are very excited to be working with Mary again next year.”
A TV insider told the paper: “Mary Berry is someone the BBC want to feature on screen as much as possible following the success of Bake Off.
“Absolute Favourites will see her go on the road for new and old recipes, a bit like what Rick Stein used to do.”
Mary, 79, has been sharing her top tips and dishing out advice, as well as featuring seasonal dishes, in two-part BBC Two series Absolute Christmas Favourites.
She became a screen star after appearing on The Great British Bake Off as a judge alongside baker Paul Hollywood in 2010.
The show has become a huge success with five series, and has spawned specials and spin-offs, as well as 15 international editions.
