Down name squad for Dr McKenna Cup

Down manager Jim McCorry has included a number of new faces in his squad for the McKenna Cup which starts this coming weekend.
Stephen Kane of Kilcoo and Kieran Gordon of Loughinisland get their chance to fill his gloves the now retired Brendan McVeigh.
Gerard Collins, Conall McGovern, Cathal Crilly and Chris and Danny McKay are the new guys to the panel while Kevin Anderson, Luke Howard, Malachy Magee and Packie Downey make a return to the mourne county squad.
Aidan Carr and Mark Poland are not available for the start of the competition because they are getting married and on honeymoon while Niall McParland is injured.
Regulars Kevin McKernan, Conor Laverty, Conor Maginn and Conor Garvey have been named.
There’s no Benny Coulter after he announced his retirement after this years championship.
