Over 1,000 premises were left without power in west Donegal as strong winds batter the county.
Power was lost at 9pm with the ESB suggesting supply would be returned at 00:45 Friday, by 22.30 Thursday power was restored to around 600 hundred customers.
A further 191 properties are without electricity in the Ballyshannon area.
Met Eireann has an Orange Weather Warning in place: Southwest to west winds with mean speeds of 50 to 75 km will gust 90 to 120 km/h.
Very high waves also with the risk of coastal flooding.
That warning is in place until 0600 on Friday.
