McEleney to trial at Brentford

Derry City boss Peter Hutton has confirmed that the club has given permission to Patrick McEleney to go on trial with English Champinship club, Brentford.
McEleney will go over to London this weekend and will return next Friday in time for City’s pre-season campaign.
McEleney is the second member of Hutton’s squad to go on trial with a cross-channel club this month with fellow midfielder Michael Duffy currently being given the chance to impress at Celtic.
Patrick’s older brother Shane and striker Rory Patterson are believed to be on the radar of a number of League of Ireland Premier Division clubs.
