Calls have been made for volunteers in Donegal to take part in Ireland’s largest coastal clean up.
Clean Coasts week 2015 is taking place from May 8th to May 17th and everyone is invited to get involved in protecting a beach in their area.
There are a lot of clean ups already scheduled for Donegal beaches.
A recent United Nation Environment Programme (UNEP) report estimated that 8 million individual litter items enter the marine environment every day.
