It’s estimated that over 3,800 walkers and runners participated in the Darkness into Light charity walks at three venues in Donegal this morning with nearly 2,000 taking part in Letterkenny.
The 5k fundraising event got underway at quarter past four this morning at over 80 venues across the country.
Over 100,000 people took part across Ireland, with events also taking place overseas.
Speaking after this morning’s event in Letterkenny, Route Coordinator, Stephen Shevlin said the turnout exceed all expectations and there’s a message for everyone:
