A Sinn Fein Councillor has hit out over claims that her party is using the A5 upgrade as a ‘political football’.
Last week the party had been accused by SDLP representative Daniel McCrossan of using the issue as a political football while it did little to progress the project it when the party held the roads portfolio in Northern Ireland.
Local Councillor Karina Carlin says her party have spear-headed the entire campaign which she believes is widely recognised by most parties in the North.
She is also highlighting her concerns as to where progress on the A5 now stands with the current situation in Northern Ireland:
