Man to appear in court today over petrol bomb charges

A 27-year-old man is expected to appear at Derry Magistrates’ Court today charged with making and throwing petrol bombs.
The charges relate to an incident at Strand Road police station on Monday night when petrol bombs were allegedly thrown at a police Land-Rover leaving the premises.
The man, who is from Derry, is also charged with arson endangering life; criminal damage and disorderly behaviour.
As is normal practice, the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
