Derry City will have a new stadium in time for the start of the 2017 season.
Derry City Council have released the programme of works for the Brandywell redevelopment but the club will
have to make alternative arrangements for fixtures in the last three months of the 2016 season.
It’s understood Derry has written to the FAI requesting their final 6 home games to be reversed with the corresponding fixtures in the early part of the season.
If that move is unsuccessful, Maginn Park in Buncrana, Finn Park in Ballybofey and Institute’s home pitch at Drumahoe have been marked as possible alternative venues.
Derry officials are set to meet representatives from the Inishowen League this week about using Maginn Park.
Work at the Brandywell will start in July.
