Motorists are being advised to drive with extra care as the cold snap continues to grip the county.
Yesterday Met Eireann extended an orange weather alert with snow accumulations of up to eight centimetres predicted in counties Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo until at least midday today.
