Derry progress to Dr McKenna Cup Final

Derry advanced to the final of the Dr. McKenna Cup with a 7 point victory over Cavan in the Athletic Grounds in Armagh.  There was little between the teams until man of the match Ryan Bell converted a penalty for Derry and further points followed to leave the Oak Leaf County leading by 1-10 to 0-6 at half time.
 Derry maintained their 7 point advantage in the 2nd half despite a Killian Clarke goal for Cavan.
 The Dr McKenna Cup Final between Derry and Tyrone takes place in the Athletic Grounds, Armagh next Saturday, January 23rd with a 7.30pm throw in.
