Tyrone win high scoring game in new hurling season

It was a high-scoring game in Clones between the hurlers of Monaghan and Tyrone on Sunday afternoon.
Division 3B of the National Hurling League saw both sides record some strong points, but it was Tyrone who edged it, leading by seven points at half-time.
The half-time score was Monaghan 1-5 (8) v Tyrone 1-12 (15) thanks to a goal from Matthew Mulgrew, following a super run by Conor Grogan.
Halfway the second half, Monaghan narrowed the gap to four points, but they lost Monaghan 2-13 (19) v Tyrone 2-18 (24).
