Dectectives appeal for information following armed robbery in Derry filling station

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery of a filling station on the Glendermott Road in Derry on Friday night.
It was reported that shortly before 9.15pm a male, armed with a knife, entered the premises and threatened members of staff before making off with a number of packets of cigarettes.
The members of staff were not injured as a result of the incident.  The male is described as being approximately 6’ tall and of thin build.  He was wearing a black coloured hooded top with the hood up and gloves.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that would assist with the investigation to contact them in Strand Road Police Station on 101.  Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
