Donegal tug of war pullers win medal haul for Ireland

It was a successful weekend for Donegal pullers at the World Indoor championships held in Holland.
Donegal lads Liam Strain, from Burnfoot, and Buncrana men Adrian Lynch and Paul Duffy won a total of nince medals – including six gold, one silver, and two bronze.
Ireland finished up a good championship with a bronze medal in the men’s 680kg on Sunday evening, defeating England in the bronze pull-off at the international competition in Volendam.
On Saturday, Liam pulled in the Irish 560kg team who won gold and Adrian pulled in the Irish 640kg team which won the bronze.
Paul Duffy won silver in the 560kg category on Friday.
