Donegal lose first match of season in defeat away to Kerry

Donegal GAA 2016
Allianz League, Division 1: Kerry 1-13 (16) v Donegal 1-08 (11)
Donegal lost their first match of the season in a feisty encounter away to Kerry in Division 1 on Sunday afternoon.
Donegal came into the match in excellent form, having won all four of their opening games.
But that run came to an end at Austin Stack Park in Tralee when they went down Kerry 1-13 (16) v Donegal 1-08 (11).
It was a scrappy game and Donegal and Kerry were both reduced to 14 men when Doengal lost Leo McCloone and Kerry lost Alan Fitzgerald.
The half-time score was Kerry 0-07 (7) to Donegal 0-03 (3).
A typical Michael Murphy goal in the second half brought Donegal back into the match, narrowing the gap to three points.
His goal took the score to Kerry 1-10 (13) v Donegal 1-07 (10).
But Kerry’s victory was secured by Kingdom legend Colm Cooper, who came on as a sub and kicked a fantastic point in the last seconds.
Donegal’s next match is at home against Roscommon.
