Just two Donegal cases on the latest Tax Defaulters List

There has been a significant fall in the number of cases from Donegal in the latest tax defaulters list released by Revenue.
There are just two significant cases for the underdecleration of Income Tax and the non-decleration of Capital Gains Tax.
Michael McFadden a company director from Kerrykeel settled with Revenue for a total of 171 thousand euro for the underdecleration of Income Tax the majority of which is made up of fines and penalties.
Jeremiah Gallagher, a farmer and company director from Carrigart settled fro 138 thousand euro for the non-decleration of Capital Gains Tax.
There were a further 10 settlements for the failure to file a tax return totalling almost 13 thousand euro while one person in Donegal was fined 2,500 euro for the misuse of marked oil.
Nationally in the 3-month period to 31st December 2015 107 people made settlements totalling €16.6m – 46 were for amounts exceeding €100,000; of which 4 exceeded €500,000 and 2 which were over €1m.
