North West MEP’s son passed through Brussels metro station just minutes before bomb blast

The Taoiseach says ‘once again Europe is under attack’.
His comments follow the deaths of at least 26 people in three separate explosions in the Belgian capital.
11 died this morning in two rush hour blasts at the Zavantem airport, while another 15 were killed at the Maelbeek metro station in Brussels city centre near UN buildings.
No one has yet claimed responsibilty for today’s attacks but it’s suspected to be the work of terrorists.
The Dail has held a minute’s silence in memory of the victims of the Brussels attacks.
Acting Taoiseach Enda Kenny informed the house that there are no indications of Irish injuries in the Brussels attacks.
