Boxing Board says Jason Quigley factor boosting Donegal contests

The Donegal Boxing Board has praised the 10th straight victory of Jason Quigley and said the local fighter is inspiring the county.
Jason, from Ballybofey, won another knockout on Friday by beating Mexican Freddy Lopez in a stunning first round knockout.
Donegal Boxing Board president Peter O’Donnell, from Raphoe AMC, told Saturday Sport that there is now a real buzz around boxing in Donegal.
He said this was evident in the number of tournament being held locally.
Illies Golden Glove Boxing Club are staging 16 contests in Buncrana on Saturday night, a dozen Donegal schoolboys are fighting for Irish youth titles in Dublin on Tuesday, St Brigid’s of Clonmany are hosting a tournament next month, and there is a prestigious fight night in Letterkenny against boxers from Boston on April 21.
