The price of the average three-bed semi detached house in Donegal has increased by 3.03% to €85,000 in the first three months of 2016, a nationwide property survey has found.
The REA Average House Price Survey focuses on the sale price of a three-bed semi, giving an up-to-date picture of the property market in towns and cities countrywide.
The average house in Donegal now takes six weeks to sell, down from seven weeks in December.
According to real estate agents in the county, the supply of houses is still an issue and demand is steady.
In the Milford area there are reports of low stock in the area while there is a strong demand for properties under €100,000.
The average three-bed semi nationally now costs €191,194, a rise of €2,824 or 1.5% on the last quarter of 2015.
