Another European Youth mark for O’Donnell

Hammer thrower Brendan O’Donnell of Lifford Strabane AC had another throw in excess of the European Youth Championship qualification standard on Wednesday night.
The 16 year old had a season best of 66.04m to take victory at a meet in Bangor.
It’s the second time this year Brendan has hit the mark.
The European Youth’s will be held in Tbilisi, Georgia in July.
It was also a good night for Brendan’s club-mate Gareth Crawford who took victory in the Javelin.
Gareth’s throw of 58.99 metres was enough to secure the win.
