Hughes may not give Shay a run against Totenham

Stoke manager Mark Hughes might well decide against giving Shay Given the nod in goal for this Monday night’s Premiership game against Tottenham
Jakob Haugaard has been deputising in goal at Stoke for the injured Jack Butland – but after a shaky display against Liverpool last weekend, it was thought Given might win a place in the team – which would be good news for the Lifford man who needs some first team action with the Euros looming.
But Mark Hughes said yesterday that he’s keen to give the Dane, Haugaard, a chance to learn from his mistakes – insisting that the young keeper needs more experience and opportunities to play.
