Donegal’s Rory Kennedy was in the lead with driver Garry Jennings at the end of day one in the Rally of the Lakes in Killarney.
The pair in their Subaru Impreza WRC led the teams of Alastair Fisher and Gordon Noble, who were in their Ford Fiesta, and also Donagh Kelly, from Frosses, and Conor Foley in their Ford Focus WRC.
The teams, including Reigning Tarmac champion Donagh, battle it out again on Sunday in the 37th running of the Cartell.ie International Rally of the Lakes.
Killarney and District Motor Club said it has been a dominant performance by Rory, from Letterkenny, and Jennings, from Fermanagh, after eight stages and shared this photo (pictured above) of him clocking in for his last service on day one of the rally.
The rally finishes up at The Gleneagle on Sunday evening with an awards ceremony in the INEC later that night.
