A new initiative is to be set up in Carndonagh Hospital to certify the standards of end of live care in the hospice ward of the hospital.
The ‘Hospice Friendly Hospitals’ programme is an initiative of the Irish Hospice Foundation which seeks to prioritise palliative and bereavement care within hospitals for both patients and their families.
Speaking to Greg Hughes on todays Shaun Doherty Show, Carn Liaison Chairperson, Dr John Madden says the move will solidify the excellent services which are already in place at the facility:
