It has been confirmed to the Post Master in Derrybeg that the sorting office there is to close with speculation it could be within weeks.
The move will mean the consolidation of mail operations at offices in Derrybeg, Dunfanaghy and Gortahork moved to a new delivery service unit in Falcarragh.
Concern has been raised as to how this will impact on the local service provided by An Post.
