Institute’s manager was annoyed that his players adopted a direct style of play as they tried to recover from a losing position against Ballinamallard United.
Ballinamallard won 2-1 and now host the play-off second leg.
But Institute manager Kevin Deery says the tie is not over and hopes his players can turn it around on Tuesday night.
He said his players battled really well and were unlucky to have two shots cleared off the line.
