New Eastenders images show Phil Mitchell and his dying mum Peggy on a trip down memory lane

Struggling to come to terms with the news that his mum is dying, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) plans a trip to remind her of everything she has to fight for and give her a day to remember.
But Dame Barbara Windsor’s character Peggy Mitchell has – in typical fashion – plans of her own.
The Albert Square matriarch has another idea in mind, deciding to take son Phil on a trip down memory lane – starting with a boat trip on the Thames.
Dame Barbara is making a brief return to the BBC soap for a heartbreaking storyline which will see her say goodbye to Peggy forever.
Thursday’s episode saw Phil begging his mum to change her mind when she broke the news to him that she had decided to stop her gruelling treatment in order to enjoy the time she has left.
