Calls have been made for a public consultation process on the naming of the new Cockhill Bridge.
The official sod turning ceremony has taken place, marking the beginning of the construction of the bridge.
The old bridge will remain open for pedestrians, while the new bridge is expected to be completed in 2-3 years.
Local Councillor Jack Murray says the local community have various ideas on what the bridge should be called and a platform needs to be put in place to have their voices heard…….
